Curtained Pergola in Florida

We recently had the pleasure of working with a client in Florida who had a brick patio with a hot tub at the back of his house. However, the client's enjoyment of the area was hindered by the lack of privacy since the back of his house faces a common alleyway shared by the rest of the houses in his neighborhood.

The client initially approached us with a request to design a pergola similar to one we had done for a client in Colorado. He wanted privacy slats that would obscure the view from outside. However, after seeing our 3D mockup superimposed on photos of his yard, he discovered that he did not like the look of the privacy slats.

We needed to get creative and come up with an alternative solution that would still provide privacy for the client and his family. After brainstorming, we decided to use curtains to create a private space while still maintaining the light and airy look that the client desired.

The end result is a stunning and functional outdoor space that our client can now enjoy in complete privacy. The curtains not only provided the desired privacy but also allowed for the option to let natural light in and provided a soft, elegant aesthetic that complemented the brick patio and hot tub.
